Vanessa Swing

A California native and a South Bay resident, I decided to combine my technical background with my horticulture knowledge to create sustainable CAD landscape designs for homeowners. 

In my first career I did research to help plant breeders speed up their breeding process. In my second career I transitioned to the computer side of biology. After many years in tech, I decided it was time to follow my passion and went back to become what I call a plant nerd and I am loving every minute of it. 

I have degrees from UC Davis in Biotechnology with an emphasis in Plant Science and from Foothill College in Environmental Horticulture and Design along with a certificate in Web Programming. I am also a Certified California Native Plant Landscaper, Certified Green Gardener, and QWEL certified.

I also have a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and I am looking forward to help you create a more sustainable and self sufficient ecosystem.
